The terms for using this website and for sending us a booking request.
About these terms
This website is run by Tanzania Hiking and Safaris, a tour operator based in Arusha, Tanzania. By using the site you agree to these terms. They cover the website and the booking-request process; the conditions of an actual trip are set out in writing when you book (see below).
A request is not a booking
Sending the booking form, the contact form, an email or a WhatsApp message is a request for information or a quotation. Nothing is booked, reserved or charged until we have confirmed availability, sent you a written quotation and you have accepted it.
Your quotation sets out the price, what is and is not included, the payment schedule and the cancellation terms for your trip. Those written terms are the agreement between us for that trip, and they take priority over anything on this website.
Itineraries, prices and information on this site
Itineraries on this website are examples of how a trip can run. Routes, lodges, park rules, park fees and weather change, and wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed. Prices shown, where there are any, are a guide only; your quotation gives the actual price.
We take care to keep the information here accurate and current, but it is general guidance, not professional, medical or legal advice.
Health, fitness and travel insurance
Climbing Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru means trekking at high altitude, which carries real health risks. Please check with a doctor that you are fit to travel and to trek, and tell us about any medical condition that may affect your trip. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers high-altitude trekking, medical treatment and emergency evacuation.
Passports, visas and vaccinations
You are responsible for having a valid passport, any visa you need and any vaccinations or certificates required for your route. We are happy to advise, and our FAQ covers the basics, but entry rules are set by the authorities and can change.
Using this website
- Do not misuse the site, try to break or overload it, or send spam through its forms.
- Text, itineraries and our own photographs belong to us and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. Some photographs are used under the Unsplash licence.
- Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for running the website with reasonable care. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by the website being unavailable or by relying on general information on it. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
