Kilimanjaro — Machame Route, 6 Days

The shortest sensible Machame, for travellers tight on days.

Machame in six days rather than seven. It removes the Karanga night, which is the one that does most for acclimatisation, so we only recommend it to people who have been at altitude recently or genuinely cannot spare the extra day.

Highlights

  • Summit Uhuru Peak (5,895 m)

Questions about this trip

Should I do six days or seven?

Seven, unless you have no choice. The extra night at Karanga is the single cheapest thing you can do for your summit chances.
